The fetal heartbeat debate is nuanced

Democratic candidate for Governor of Georgia, Stacey Abrams, created quite a stir when she stated: “There is no such thing as a heartbeat at six weeks. It’s a manufactured sound designed to convince people that men have the right to take control of a woman’s body,” during a panel discussion at the Ray Charles Performing Arts Center in Atlanta.
